Celebrating two years of CFO Evolution

For the past two years, CFO Evolution has been helping people across the South West take positive steps towards a different future – both while preparing to leave custody and as they rebuild their lives in the community.

Since August 2024, Seetec has welcomed 3,120 participants onto the CFO Evolution programme across our custody and community delivery in the South West.

During that time, our teams have delivered 20,080 activities and interventions, providing personalised support designed to help participants overcome barriers, build confidence and develop the skills they need to move forward.

The impact so far includes:

  • 3,120 participants welcomed onto the programme
  • 20,080 activities and interventions delivered across custody and community settings
  • 1,089 participants supported with education and training
  • 245 participants supported into employment

But behind every one of these numbers is a person, and the impact of their progress can reach much further than the individual.

Supporting someone to make lasting changes can mean relationships strengthened, families supported, greater stability, safer communities and, ultimately, a reduced likelihood of reoffending.

Our CFO Activity Hubs in Bristol and Plymouth provide welcoming community spaces where participants can access a wide range of support and activities as they work towards their individual goals.

One participant reflected on the difference the Bristol CFO Activity Hub had made:

“The Bristol CFO Activity Hub has helped me find my confidence and restart my life with positive steps forward. It’s full of opportunities just waiting for you! I am lucky to have had this opportunity.”

Another participant shared how support from the Plymouth CFO Activity Hub had helped them move forward with their life and ambitions:

“Thank you for helping me along my journey to leading a better life and supporting my new business venture. And a massive thank you to every member of staff at the Plymouth CFO Activity Hub, you have helped me be a better version of myself.”

As we mark two years of CFO Evolution, we are incredibly proud of the progress our participants have made and of our colleagues who support them throughout their rehabilitation journeys.

Working alongside CFO and our partners across the South West, we remain committed to creating opportunities for people to build skills, improve their wellbeing, move towards employment and make sustainable changes that can positively impact their lives, their families and their communities.
