Introduction
Referred to the Restart Scheme by Bristol Temple Street Jobcentre Plus, Jibran joined Seetec in August 2025 following a prolonged period of unemployment. While motivated to return to work, he lacked confidence and needed support to recognise his strengths and prepare for sustainable employment.
Working closely with his Employment Adviser, Jibran created a personalised plan focused on rebuilding his confidence, developing his employability skills and identifying career opportunities that matched his interests and abilities. Through regular one-to-one appointments, they explored his transferable skills, set achievable goals and developed a structured approach to job searching.
Jibran also embraced the training available through the Restart Scheme, completing sessions covering customer service, interview skills, CV and cover letter writing, resilience, confidence, managing interview anxiety and goal planning. He actively participated in workshops and practical exercises, demonstrating a positive attitude and a genuine determination to improve.
As his confidence grew, Jibran became more comfortable recognising his strengths and approaching the job search with greater self-belief. With continued support from his Employment Adviser, he tailored his applications, prepared for interviews and explored opportunities that aligned with his skills and ambitions.
His hard work and perseverance paid off when he secured a role with an employer in the security sector, marking an important milestone in his journey back into work.
Reflecting on his experience, Jibran said:
“Seetec has helped me build my confidence in more ways than one, something that I struggled to find on my own. They provided me with the support and tools I needed.”
