One of our International Freight Forwarding learners, Darsh, is building a successful career in the logistics industry – and we just had to share his story.

Through the Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Specialist apprenticeship, Darsh has gained valuable industry knowledge, strengthened his communication and problem-solving skills, and grown in confidence as he has taken on more responsibility within his role at Mapcargo. With the support of his tutor, Clare, he has developed the practical skills and experience needed to build a strong foundation for a career in international freight forwarding.

Did you know that since the International Freight Forwarding Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship was introduced at Seetec in 2018, we have supported more than 850 learners across the freight forwarding and logistics sector?

Looking back, the most valuable lesson I’ve learned during my apprenticeship is how important it is to be adaptable and open to feedback. Every task and challenge has helped me improve my knowledge and practical skills, and I’ve learned that asking for guidance and learning from mistakes is an important part of professional development. This experience has also shown me the value of teamwork and managing my time effectively.

Completing my apprenticeship has given me much greater confidence in my abilities and how I approach my work. I now take more initiative, solve problems more independently, and feel comfortable taking on greater responsibility. It has also reinforced my ambition to continue progressing in my career, building on the skills I’ve developed and taking advantage of future training and development opportunities.Seetec supports apprentices to develop the skills and confidence employers need.
