Delivering Social Value through Inclusive Recruitment

As a trusted partner to hundreds of employers, Seetec supports businesses to deliver social value by recruiting great local talent – including people with disabilities and those facing health challenges.

We are proud to be working in partnership with family-owned construction company Mulalley, who share our commitment to inclusive recruitment.

Building the partnership

The partnership took shape when Seetec’s Partnership Manager, Charlie, met Mulalley’s Head of Social Value, Christina Byrne, at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea job fair.

The conversation quickly turned to a live labourer vacancy, created through Mulalley’s social value commitments on a local contract.

“I spoke to Charlie about a labourer role through our social value commitments, and within a few days I received Omar’s CV. I was delighted with it, so I moved quickly to arrange an interview.

Matching the right candidate

By building a vocation profile with Omar, Seetec identified him as a strong match for the role.

Through tailored job matching, CV support and interview preparation – including help with travel and clothing costs – Omar was fully prepared to progress

Omar was successful at interview and started work with Mulalley on 5 January. He is now gaining on-site experience across multiple trades, with opportunities for progression and further training.

Shared values, lasting impact

“It was clear that our values aligned. Mulalley’s commitment to social value and local opportunity mirrors our own, and I knew we could work together to support their recruitment needs.

For Mulalley, social value is central to everything they do. Christina added:

“Omar has really impressed us. We’re already exploring training opportunities to help him progress his career. This partnership shows how effective Seetec is in helping us recruit talented local people.”

Turning social value into impact

By brokering this opportunity, Seetec have helped a young person open the door to his dream career and also supported Mulalley in achieving their social value commitments.

This outcome demonstrates how the Seetec–Mulalley partnership supports local employment, delivers social value and provides businesses with motivated, job-ready candidates – backed by ongoing in-work support to ensure long-term success
