Pioneering the future of employment support with Earlybird

Amber and Mandy from Seetec, on the launch of the Earlybird AI partnership.

At Seetec, our mission is to change lives for the better. Our employment advisers are our greatest asset and we’ve long sought to empower them to focus on what they do best: providing meaningful, person-centered support to our customers.

This commitment to innovation led us to a groundbreaking partnership with Earlybird to see how we could embed AI into our daily work. We are thrilled to share the incredible results of our pilot.

Over the past nine months, we’ve tested Earlybird’s AI platform across seven of our sites, comparing their performance against a control group without technology. The outcomes have been so successful that we are now rolling out the platform to all 21 of our locations; we’re the first prime to do so.

Becky Miles, Operations Manager, said, “In the evolving landscape of employability and public service delivery, digital innovation is no longer a future ambition—it’s a present necessity.

“This was our core challenge. Our recent pilot with Earlybird has reaffirmed my belief in the power of AI as a tool for efficiency, making space for more human connection”.

Tangible results, real impact

The pilot’s results were undeniable, both in metrics and in the real-world impact on our teams and the people we serve.

  • Improved national performance: In just six months, Seetec rose from 9th to 3rd in national league tables for first earnings and from 12th to 3rd for job outcomes.
  • Faster job starts: Our pilot sites now outperform non-pilot sites for job starts within 90 days, leading to 126 extra participants securing jobs.
  • More efficient advisers: The WorkScribe tool helps our advisers reclaim at least 36 hours of administrative time per month, or 12-18 minutes per meeting. This allows them to focus on meaningful interactions and better support our participants.

The true success of this partnership is best told by our people.

“The difference it’s made is day and night,” says Katy-Jane Fox, an Employment Adviser at our Barnstaple site. “As a neurodiverse employment adviser who often suffers with a mental block with admin, this is a game-changer”.

Employment Adviser, Amber Devenish, from Torbay noted, “I’ve formed closer relationships with my participants, like Mandy, through using Earlybird. It saves me at least an hour a day in admin and I don’t have a backlog at the end of the day”.

A customer named Mandy shares her experience: “The reason my adviser, Amber, and I have formed such a strong relationship in just two months is that she’s 100% present in our sessions. She doesn’t type notes or fill out forms on her laptop, which means we maintain eye contact. This makes me feel truly supported and heard”.

We are incredibly proud of what our teams and Earlybird have achieved together, setting a new standard for performance in employment support and, most importantly, enhancing our ability to change lives for the better.
