Can you introduce yourself, your role at Cargonet Ltd, and what led you to choose an apprenticeship?
“My name’s Emanuel, and I’m an External Sales Executive at Cargonet. I manage a multi-million-pound portfolio, ensuring spend remains consistent while also bringing in new business. I chose to take on the apprenticeship to fill in the gaps in my knowledge. I needed to establish a stronger foundation that would allow me to progress in my role and better support both my customers and the company. I wanted to truly understand what I was talking about – flying by the seat of my pants just wasn’t enough. So, I signed up – and it’s helped tremendously.”
“Becoming an Account Executive and getting my first batch of customers was a big step for me. With more responsibility, I knew I needed to push myself harder. The Level 3 course not only gave me confidence as an Account Executive, but also helped me progress even further. Shortly after achieving my merit with Seetec, I was promoted.”

What motivated you to complete the Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Specialist apprenticeship?

How would you describe your experience working with the Seetec team? What support stood out to you?
“It was great! Clare was extremely helpful and caring. We had full-on conversations about everything and anything. She wasn’t someone who was just limited to delivering a foundation course. “Incoterms and buzzwords were a big challenge for me. People use corporate freight forwarding jargon all the time, and having to play catch-up in conversations was extremely frustrating . You really felt behind. Now, I can confidently have those conversations. I have no issue using the right terminology, understanding why I’m using it, and knowing exactly what it relates to.” At Seetec, we work with learners to build both knowledge and confidence to progress in their careers.
What new skills, knowledge, or confidence have you gained during your apprenticeship?
How has the apprenticeship supported your career development or future goals?
“Having a good foundation in any subject allows you to build higher… look at that, we’re using metaphors now. Completing my apprenticeship with Seetec helped massively. I got promoted and now manage a significantly larger portfolio. An apprenticeship doesn’t just establish knowledge in the industry you’re looking to grow in; it also builds confidence and trust between you and your employer.” At Seetec, we support learners every step of the way.
