Pluss – Where #NoOneLeftBehind is personal

At Pluss, we live the values of Learning Disability Week every day by placing the voices of our participants at the heart of everything we do.

In line with this year’s theme “Do you see me?”, we’re proud to share David’s story in his own words through a powerful video that invites us to recognise and celebrate each participant’s unique voice.

Unlocking skills and confidence amongst our Cornish communities

A standout example of Pluss’ positive influence is our UKSPF-funded employability programme for people with learning disabilities in Cornwall, where we are commissioned by Cornwall Council as a trusted People Hub partner.

Our team has just received a year-long extension for our service delivery, a direct result of their outstanding achievements in the programme’s first year.

As we mark Learning Disability Week, it’s a timely reminder of the importance of visibility, inclusion, and amplifying the voices of people with learning disabilities.

This year’s theme, “Do you see me?”, encourages us all to listen more closely to all voices.

But while the figures and successes are impressive, it’s the voices of our participants that truly tell the story.

Today, we’re pleased to introduce David, one of our incredible participants. Working alongside Community Coach Emily Marshall, David’s journey is a testament to the impact of our No One Left Behind approach.

Seeing the Individual: David’s story in his own words

This film is part of a People Hub campaign to promote the fantastic services of the partnership, showcasing the work of all involved, with Pluss proudly featured in both of the main participant stories.

We’re thrilled to see Pluss participants, like David, taking centre stage in this campaign, highlighting the difference we’re making together in Cornwall and beyond.

We’re delighted to share this story with you, and we hope it resonates as much as it does with us.
