Taking a leap of faith into Freight Forwarding
One of our International Freight Forwarding learners, Irem, went from being unsure of her career path to building a successful role in freight forwarding – and we just had to share her story.
Unsure of her career path and with no previous knowledge of freight forwarding, Irem took a leap of faith and enrolled on the Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Specialist apprenticeship. With the support of her tutor, Clare, she developed valuable industry knowledge, gained practical experience, and progressed into a successful role with KG Logistics.

Can you tell us a little about yourself, your role, and your apprenticeship journey?
“Hello! My name is Irem Halil, and I am currently working in the Operations Department at KG Logistics, following the completion of my Level 3 International Freight Forwarding Specialist Apprenticeship through Seetec. Before applying for the position, I had very little knowledge of logistics, transport or the freight forwarding industry, but the apprenticeship gave me the opportunity to learn and develop within a completely new sector.“

“During my apprenticeship, I expanded my knowledge and skills far beyond what I could have imagined. What challenge did you face during your apprenticeship, and how did you overcome it?
What would you say to someone considering this apprenticeship?
“Taking this apprenticeship was one of the best decisions I have made. As someone who left sixth form and chose a different route, I can confidently say I do not regret taking that leap of faith.
