This voluntary programme will support hundreds of people across the county over the next five years.

It aims to help people who face the greatest labour market disadvantages to get back into work and sustain employment.

Based in the heart of the community, we’ll go to where the people are. Joining up health services and employment support to make the journey into work smoother and more personalised.

The programme will help people with health conditions, disabilities and other barriers to work, while working closely with local employers to champion more inclusive recruitment practices.

Ria Hale, Operations Manager said “Seetec is proud to be delivering Connect to Work in Worcestershire, helping local people build confidence, develop new skills and access the right opportunities.

“By working in partnership with Worcestershire County Council and the Careers Worcestershire team, we look forward to growing the pathways for the communities of Worcestershire”.

Sustain and succeed

Following a ‘place and train’ Individual Placement and Support (IPS), Supported Employment model and working closely with employers, Connect to Work will provide voluntary, flexible, individualised support for residents.

In this model, participants are initially helped to find a job and subsequently provided with support and training to sustain and succeed.

Both participants and employers will be provided with support once the participants are in work, ensuring the employment is sustainable.

Teams will work closely with health care services and other partners to reach those economically inactive residents most in need of help.
