People power
At the heart of Seetec’s evolution is its people. In 2024, Seetec retained its Gold Investors in People status and celebrated five years of majority employee ownership, ensuring colleagues have a direct voice in the company’s direction.
As we celebrate 40 years of empowering marginalised people to access opportunities and improve their lives, we also approach another significant milestone; five years of employee ownership.

Employee-owner, Shay Abdul embodies Seetec’s values (listed below) in everything he does; not as a conscious effort but – as is the case for so many of our colleagues – simply because they align so naturally with who he is.
A proud advocate for inclusion and education, Shay has played a leading role in several key initiatives that bring our values to life.
Since joining the sector in 2011, Shay has always been driven by a passion for helping others make positive changes in their lives. “It gives me a really good feeling inside,” he says.
“The work we do isn’t always easy, but it’s important.”
“Our values guide how we support each other and the people we serve.”
You can read more about Shay and how he uses Seetec’s values in his everyday life by downloading the report at the bottom of this page.
The report also reflects Seetec’s commitment to inclusion, sustainability and community value:
- 100% renewable energy across operations.
- 122 volunteering days donated by colleagues.
- Recognition as a Disability Confident Leader, B Corp certified organisation, and Great Place to Work in Ireland (fourth year running).
Moving forward
With the government’s move towards regional commissioning and tighter spending, Seetec is prepared and ready for the future.
Its new regional business development model, robust financial foundations, and deepened commercial capabilities position it as a reliable and resilient partner for future delivery.
“With our five-year plan, we are positioning Seetec for a future of sustained, impactful growth,” says Penny Levack, Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation.
“We remain committed to creating real, lasting value across the communities we serve.”

“Seetec is having an impact on more and more people, year on year, and by doing this we are creating sustainable growth, for both the company and for the local economies we serve.
“We are here to support key customer groups to achieve their next steps.”
