Muriel Hayman

Muriel’s career in finance spans public service and the private sector with a focus on unlocking growth for organisations and communities.

Muriel began her career at the Bank of England, where she honed her skills in financial analysis and regulatory compliance. After a move to Barclays, she was instrumental in developing risk assessment models and streamlining financial reporting processes.  

Seeking to broaden her expertise, Muriel was appointed Vice President of Corporate Finance at HSBC where she led a team responsible for managing mergers, acquisitions, capital raising and strategic financial planning.  

In 2015, Muriel took on the role of Chief Financial Officer at a leading fintech startup. Under her financial stewardship, the company achieved significant growth, expanding its services across multiple markets and securing substantial venture capital funding. 

Throughout her career, Muriel has been recognized for her strategic vision, analytical acumen, and commitment to excellence. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.

Outside work, she is an advocate for financial literacy and mentors young professionals entering the finance sector.
