Coralene, an apprentice with Seetec, was surprised to learn she’d achieved top marks in her exam. Receiving a prestigious award has been a huge help in boosting her self-confidence.
We caught up with Coralene to find out how she was feeling after she realised that she was ‘top of the class’.
When I put my mind to something, I can actually do it – and do it quite well!

Coralene’s journey
After graduating, Coralene worked in a coffee shop, before landing a job with Vink UK and applying for an apprenticeship in credit control. Seetec support Vink in the training of their apprentices.
She’d originally been looking at bookkeeping or accountancy, but the added customer-service element in this apprenticeship felt like a much better fit.
In February 2025, Coralene was awarded the Sir Roger Cork Prize from the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM).
This prestigious prize is awarded to the studying member who achieved the highest pass marks for exams sat in 2024.
Coralene admits she had limited confidence that she would pass. She didn’t even realise the award existed until she found out she’d won!
Coralene believes studying to become an accredited credit controller through a workplace apprenticeship has been a great way to tackle a new career.
She tells us her learning felt like a natural part of the job. And that she has had lots of support from both her employer, Vink UK, and Seetec.
We are delighted to support Coralene throughout her apprenticeship – Advanced Credit Controller and Debt Collection Specialist, Level 3.
She’s keen to keep learning and growing and plans to take a short break before beginning her Level 5 qualification next.
We wish Coralene the best of luck on her future career journey. We hope this amazing achievement will help her become much more confident in her own unique capabilities.
