UKSPF Youth Engagement Programme (Yep!)

If you’re a young person living in Cornwall and not in employment, education or training (NEET), this unique integrated and collaborative project will bring together the very best of locally available support.

This unique integrated and collaborative project is aimed at young people aged 16-24, who live in Cornwall and are not in employment, education or training (NEET)

The UKSPF Youth Engagement Programme (Yep!) brings together the very best of locally available support, to build confidence, resilience, and competence as they determine their way in the world after secondary education.

Eligibility

To access the USKSPF Youth Engagement Programme you must be aged 16 -24, and not in employment, education or training (NEET).

You may also be eligible if you are considered at risk of becoming NEET and have special education needs (SENS).

  • Interview techniques and motivational interviewing
  • Mock interviews
  • Job search support
  • Information, Advice & Guidance
  • Work experience
  • Work placements
  • Job trials and apprenticeships
  • Self-employment workshops with enterprise skill building opportunities
  • Supported internship opportunities
  • Information and Communications Technology (ICT) & technology skills
  • Motivational & confidence building sessions
  • Mental health support
  • Community & Social inclusion support
  • 1:1 mentoring, including bespoke vocational support

Life Skills:

  • Money matters support (cost of living, budgeting, debt management)
  • Travel training
  • Benefit support
  • Group sessions and activities

This programme also offer support with costs e.g.: transport, interview clothing, training courses such as CSCS, Food Safety, EFAW
