To ensure we meet our customers’ highest standards and provide ethical, responsible and sustainable solutions, all of our services adhere to our values.

Our company values

With people at the heart of every one of our services, we are driven by our overarching aim to empower lives and improve communities.

We build our relationships on mutual respect: all employers, customers, and partners receive the same high quality service.

Our commitment to providing effective and innovative service delivery enables us to have a positive impact on people’s lives and improve communities.

We empower and inspire our customers to take ownership of their lives by giving them the right tools, support and opportunities to break down barriers and achieve their goals.

Supporting communities, driving change

Dedicated to benefiting communities, empowering individuals and providing sustainable solutions, our social values are behind every decision, service and strategy we make. We are also B-Corp certified, recognising our dedication to benefiting society as well as shareholders by delivering social, environmental and economic value.

Our social values

At Seetec, our people are our greatest asset. Their expertise and passion allows us to make a positive impact on the customers and communities we serve. To support this, we lead by example and invest in the development, health and wellbeing of our employees. Through the comprehensive training we provide, we’ve achieved Investors in People Gold Standard, IiP Health and Wellbeing accreditation and are developing a range of apprenticeship standards.

At Seetec, we go beyond our ISO 14001 commitments to continually assess and reduce the environmental impact of our services. We support community groups, encourage community participation and work with local authorities and environmental organisations to maintain and improve local environments from woodlands to roundabouts and community centres to furniture re-use networks.

We believe all organisations have a responsibility to the societies and communities they serve. As a Disability Confident organisation, we’re committed to tackling inequality of opportunity and increasing disability employment levels. Dedicated to building local supply chains, we have managed hundreds of community projects that improve rural and urban environments. We help SMEs to flourish, create jobs through our social enterprises and help people set up their own business.

We are an employee-owned, for-profit organisation that delivers public services in the public interest which benefit people and communities, support local social value policies and provide value for money. By voluntarily adopting higher standards of transparency, accountability and performance, we aspire to a better way of doing business and believe for-profit, employee-owned companies can be a force for positive social change.

Our social values in action...

Seetec has always encouraged its employees to participate in local volunteering opportunities and in 2020 doubled employees’ paid volunteering days to two days per year for those undertaking community or charitable activities, including:

  • Community care work;
  • environmental work and conservation projects;
  • fundraising for community projects or charities; and
  • administration of public events.

We have seen an increase in participation in supporting local communities during the Covid pandemic and we are committed to increasing this further.

We introduced accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training in 2019 and Mental Health and Awareness training later that year. Having already demonstrated our commitment to supporting and protecting Mental Health in the workplace as part of our Investors In People Health & Wellbeing accreditation we are proud to have reinforced our commitment further by signing up to the Time to Change Pledge and Mindful Employer in 2020.  We pledge to continue to deliver the MHFA and Mental Health Wellbeing Awareness training for our managers to ensure that they provide support to colleagues to protect their health and wellbeing in the workplace.

We actively support the employment of former armed forces personnel and are a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant. This year we have introduced out Armed Forces Reservist Policy which enables 5 days additional paid leave support for those employees who are Reservists.

In line with the Government’s commitment to reduce re-offending, we support this agenda through participating in the Ban the Box Campaign, providing a fair an equal opportunity for ex-offenders to gain employment.
