Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 is 12 – 18 May and the theme is ‘Community’.
Mental health is something we talk about a lot at Seetec. It’s a consideration in the way we interact with our customers, and each other.
We asked some of our colleagues what they do to keep themselves healthy and well.

Ana, is one of Seetec’s Health and Wellbeing coaches, based in Worcestershire. Here’s what she told us:
“After several challenges in my life, I’ve learnt to appreciate the value of looking after my health and wellbeing.
“As a result, I’ve incorporated lots of different techniques which I pepper through my day.
“The morning is the most important part of my day, as I feel this helps me to be calmer and more positive about the day ahead.
“I get up early and do yoga first. I like to open the patio door at this time of year, as I can hear the birds twittering away and this helps me to feel more grounded.
“After that I make a cup of tea and do some gratitude practice and journal, before I treat myself to some reading.
“During my lunchtime, I always go for a walk. I find this helps me to process my morning’s work and sets me up for the afternoon.
My garden is my safe space
“Once I am home, I always go outside; whether it’s to go for another walk, a bike ride or just to potter in my garden.
“My garden is my safe space and I really enjoy checking in on my plants and helping them to thrive.
“It’s also a great place to just sit and watch my little corner of nature.
“I love seeing what visitors I have, whether it be the newts in my pond or the birds which visit my feeders or the bees and butterflies which flit amongst the colourful flowers.
“I love spending time with my friends and family as well. Any time with them helps me to relax, recharge me and just gives me a sense of ease.
“I’ve been a primary teacher for the majority of my career. I have only recently begun working as a health and wellbeing coach for Seetec, and I love my new role.
“I feel it is essential to support the participants with their health and wellbeing, as I know how powerful this can be on a personal level.”
Ty is a Team Leader on the Work and Health Programme based in Seetec’s Plymouth Office

“I love snowboarding because of all the fresh air on the mountains and it’s a really enjoyable exercise.
“It’s physically taxing but fun too. I only get to the mountains once a year but also go to the local dry ski slope to practice and keep fit.”

“I made this cute little video to show everyone what it is that helps me keep my mental health in check.
“Press play and enjoy my little helpers doing what makes me happy.”
