As one of the largest employee-owned public services providers in the UK and Ireland, we’re committed to providing opportunities and support to people from all walks of life and empowering them to shape their own futures.
As a Merlin accredited provider, you can be confident that all of our partnerships are established and managed on a foundation of mutual respect, benefit and open, honest communication. We understand that our customers’ needs are best met by constructing strong and diverse supply chains and achieve this by working with hundreds of partner organisations across the skills, employment, health and justice sectors.
We are now looking for partners for the upcoming DWP Access to Work Holistic Assessments programme, which is expected to start delivery in June 2023.
Access to Work is a grant scheme supporting the recruitment and retention of disabled people in paid employment and has been in place since 1994. The Holistic Assessment was introduced in 2011 and is a fundamental part of an Access to Work claim.
If it is not clear how a customer’s condition affects the way they can or will do their job, an independent holistic workplace assessment is required. Assessments are carried out by suitably trained and experienced external assessors, who are responsible for recommending correct, high quality workplace adjustment solutions through an objective analysis of how an individual’s disability or health condition affects their ability to work. The objective analysis includes recommendations for the provision and purchase of specialist equipment, workplace adaptations or a remote support worker. The assessment does not diagnose the disability or health condition or its causes.
We are seeking expressions of interest from:
- Organisations with current or previous experience of delivering holistic workplace assessments
- Organisations with current experience of delivering similar services across a large geographical footprint
