B Corp Month Announcements News 01 March 2023
Seetec celebrates how #WeGoBeyond during B Corp Month

Today marks the beginning of B Corp month, a celebration of the global B Corp community, which is this year themed around how #WeGoBeyond in using business as a force for good.

Over the course of March we will be shining a light on how, as both a certified B Corp business and an employee owned business, we go over and above for the individuals and communities that we serve.

Seetec is delighted to have been recertified as a B Corp organisation for another consecutive year, making us one of 1,100 B Corp certified for-profit organisations in the UK that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. The success of the in-depth assessment process for certification demonstrates our continued commitment to meeting these high standards, making a positive impact on the communities and people we serve as an employee owned organisation.

In completing its virtual site review of Seetec, B Corp’s reviewers stated that they were impressed by our performance in the following areas:

  • Worker Ownership – Demonstrating a great commitment to our employees through our employee ownership structure.
  • Customers: Economic Empowerment for the Underserved – Seetec’s services focus on underserved individuals, for example through supporting long-term unemployed individuals, commenting on the “remarkable” way that revenue is generated largely through serving underserved populations.

Commenting, Ian Porée, employee owner and Chief Executive of Seetec, said:

“Companies like us hold positions of responsibility within society and are a considerable force for good in tackling difficult and complex problems.

“We are a people-focused organisation, and in 2022 we supported 101,145 individuals through our combined services. Our teams are focused on creating a positive impact, and empowering individuals with the confidence and skills they need to succeed in their future.

“We go above and beyond to support the people and businesses that use our services in their local communities. And through volunteering, our employee owners also support charitable projects to deliver lasting social impact.

“Through our commitment to our social value pledges for people, communities and sustainability, we’ll continue to work tirelessly to protect today’s environment and communities and safeguard them for generations to come.”
